I had to google it to remember the name. I was raised Catholic and while most of it seems pretty crazy to me in one way or another, I find the saint/martyr concept somewhat intriguing–the things that truly devoted belief can give people the strength to endure. Still think it’s crazy, but wow.
An apt metaphor for that certain kind of horror, I guess, but it made me chuckle – what an idea!
