If one is lucky, they have lived in such a place. There is a kind of fertile scent and warmth here; a historical security that says good people have sat upon the steps and watched cats sleep in the infrequent sun.
around here the sun can be a bit infrequent π a splendid desciption of the place…the place does give the urge to go knock on the door and ask if one can hang out there for a little while
How inviting! I’d bet a kindred spirit lives there. (Oh, Bellingham! Went to school there and never wanted to go back to Seattle….so many good memories…)
i was away for about 25 years, after graduating from WWU…it has changed a bit, but some things have remained the same. Can’t believe how much Seattle has changed since I lived there.
Yes, it’s not the Seattle I grew up near. (Actually Bothell.) And the campus is barely recognizable to me now. (Was in the Ridgeway dorms above campus.) And Sehome Hill – I think there’s a school there now.
Nice find! Now that is a home. Well-loved, well-adorned. Warm and inviting. You just know whoever lives behind that door is going to offer a nice cuppa and a good story!
