Shadorma November

What is a Shadorma?

The Shadorma is a Spanish poetic form made up of a stanza of six lines. (sestet) with no set rhyme scheme. It is a syllabic poem with a meter of 3/5/3/3/7/5. It can have many stanzas, as long as each follows the meter.

What is Shadorma November?

I will be posting a Shadorma a day for the month of November and I am inviting those interested to join me.

Each Sunday of the month I will be posting a “round-up” in which provide links to those blogs who are participating.

Participants can ping back or provide a link on that day’s Shadorma (posted by 4 am PST).

You can tag with “Shadorma November” or “ShaNov” to help others locate you. You can include a photograph or a title if you wish with your Shadorma posting. And remember that a Shadorma may have more than one stanza.

Feel free to post any questions.

Thanks in advance to any participants and may the Muses be with you.

the flowing
moves downward towards us
falling white
and sun blue
we open ourselves to it
and let pen move so
